The Profit Audit

A paid hour that ends with a number

Not a discovery call. Not a pitch with a slide deck. We sit down with your actual customer journey, find where the money is escaping, and price each hole in the bucket.

Before the call

What we collect

Bring what you have. There is no form to fill in and nothing to prepare for a week in advance.

How enquiries reach you

Phone, form, Facebook message, walk-in, word of mouth. Roughly how many a week, and which channel they come from.

What happens after one lands

Who responds, how fast, and what they say. This is where most of the money is, and it is usually the part nobody has written down.

Your quoting and booking process

How a quote goes out, whether anyone follows it up, how appointments get confirmed, and what happens when someone doesn't turn up.

Your money numbers

Average job value, roughly how many jobs a month, and what you currently spend on advertising. Rough is fine. We are looking for the shape, not your tax return.

Your past customer list

Where it lives, how many people are on it, and the last time any of them heard from you. Often the fastest leak to plug.

The tools you already pay for

CRM, job management software, email tool, ad accounts. Most businesses are already paying for half of what they need and using none of it.

We do not need logins, passwords or account access to run the audit. Nothing gets connected to anything on this call.
The maths

How the leak number actually works

There is no black box here. It is one line of arithmetic, and you will be able to redo it yourself afterwards.

Revenue = Leads × Reached % × Booked % × Showed % × Closed % × Average job value
Leads
Every enquiry that reaches you in a month, from every source, including the ones you never got back to.
Reached %
The share of those enquiries that ended up in a real conversation with a human.
Booked %
Of the people you spoke to, the share who ended up with a job or a quote in the diary.
Showed %
Of those bookings, the share that actually happened. No-shows and quiet cancellations live here.
Closed %
Of the jobs you quoted, the share that turned into paid work.
Average job value
What a typical completed job is worth to you. If your jobs vary wildly, we split them into two or three types instead of averaging them into mush.

Why it multiplies instead of adding

Because every stage is a percentage of the one above it, a hole near the top of the bucket costs you far more than the same hole near the bottom. Losing a quarter of your enquiries before anyone speaks to them wipes out a quarter of everything downstream, including your best-converting stage and your highest-value jobs.

It also means you do not need a dramatic turnaround anywhere. Moving three or four stages a few points each has a bigger effect than obsessing over one of them, and the follow-up stages are usually the cheapest ones to move.

How we price a leak

For each stage we take the rate you are running at now, compare it against a rate we can argue is reachable for a business like yours, and multiply the difference through the rest of the funnel and your average job value. That gives a monthly dollar figure per stage.

We will show you every assumption behind those numbers on the call. If you think one is optimistic, we change it there and then and you watch the number move. A leak figure you do not believe is useless to both of us.

Deliverables

What you walk away with

  • Your funnel, drawn out. The five stages with your real numbers on them, so you can see the shape of your own business on one page.
  • A dollar figure on every leaking stage. Ranked worst first, with the working shown.
  • A fix order. Which hole to plug first, second and third, and roughly what each one takes. Sequence matters more than effort.
  • The PDF report. All of the above, written so you or someone on your team could work through it without us in the room.
  • A straight answer on whether we can help. Including when the answer is no.
Price

What it costs

$250

The Profit Audit — 45 to 60 minutes, one call, report included

Credited in full toward whatever you do next. If you go ahead with the Setup Intensive, the $250 comes straight off the price. If you don't, you keep the report and the numbers either way. Worst case, you keep the report.

We charge for it because free audits attract people collecting free audits. Paying puts both of us on the call to work.

Fit

Who this is for, and who it isn't

We would rather tell you now than take your money and find out on the call.

Book it if

  • You already get enquiries — even a handful a week — and you suspect not all of them are being handled.
  • You own or run the business and can make a decision without a committee.
  • You are in trades, home services, automotive, a clinic, or another local service business where jobs are quoted and booked.
  • You have spent money on advertising before and were never sure what happened to it.
  • You want to end up owning your marketing rather than renting it from someone.

Don't book it if

  • You are pre-revenue with no enquiries yet. There is no funnel to audit and nothing to measure. Get some customers first, then come back.
  • You want someone to take your marketing away and run it forever. We build it with you and hand it over. That is the whole point.
  • You are looking for a guaranteed revenue figure. Nobody honest can give you one, and we don't.
  • Your enquiry volume is already fully handled and converting, and you simply want more volume. That is an advertising job, not a leak job.
